Roasted garlic makes the perfect canape
Roasted garlic
There is honestly nothing simpler than roasting garlic with a drizzle of honey and fresh thyme. I used black garlic, which is fermented raw garlic. It has a wonderful, sweet and molasses-like flavour compared to white garlic is which has a pungent, sharper taste.
To make it simply, cut the top of the garlic head off and roast at 160 °C slowly for 70 minutes. Serve with delicious slices of fresh, warm, crusty bread. I think sourdough is best.
