Homemade baked beans recipe

There's nothing like homemade baked beans, which are so simple to make. All you need to do is add all the ingredients to a pan and allow them to cook for 10-15 minutes . Beans are also a fibre and protein fuelled way to start your mornings. I love to mop up the sauce with a slice of sourdough, yummy.

Serves 4

Ingredients

400g tinned borlotti beans

400g tinned cannellini beans

2 tbsp tomato puree

1 tbsp date syrup

1 sprig of rosemary greens

2 garlic cloves

1tsp paprika

400g tinned tomatoes

1 tsp balsamic vinegar
