Homemade salty and sweet roasted nuts

Nuts are an amazing addition to your daily diet. They are little nutrient powerhouses, full of healthy fats, protein, fibre, and vitamins and minerals. A small portion (a handful a day) can support heart health, help with stable energy, and keep you feeling satisfied between meals. They’re also great for brain function, skin health, and reducing inflammation.

This recipe is one of my favourite ways to incorporate nuts into my diet. Almonds and walnuts are simply roasted with a drizzle of olive oil, 1 tbsp of maple syrup, and a pinch of sea salt. They are then roasted in a preheated 180°C oven for 10 minutes. Making sure to turn the nuts every few minutes so as not to burn them.
