Cacao and orange granola recipe

Honestly, I think I must have made this over a handful of times since I came up with this cacao and orange granola recipe a couple of weeks ago. This recipe is a great source of important minerals, including magnesium, iron, and calcium. There are good fats and protein, as well as wonderful antioxidants.

INGREDIENTS
2 cup steel cut oats
1/3 cup mixed seeds - chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, goji berries
1/3 cup desiccated coconut
1/3 cup tahini
4-5 tbsp honey or maple syrup
2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
1/4 cup cacao powder
2 tsp mixed spice
Pinch of sea salt
Zest of 1 orange

METHOD

Mix the ingredients in a bowl.

Spread evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet, pressing it down, and bake at 150 °C for 1 hour, stirring halfway.

Let it cool completely when removed from the oven before breaking up for maximum crunch. 

Store in an airtight container.
