Come back to yourself, one breath at a time.

Less dong. More being.

In a world that often asks us to keep going, keep up and constantly be doing, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, disconnected or simply a little out of touch with ourselves.

Breathwork offers a way to pause.

To slow down, turn your attention inwards and reconnect with your body, using something you already have with you, every single moment of the day: your breath.

I’m Katie, a Nutritional Therapist & Breathwork Coach, and I create supportive spaces for women and mums to find more balance, calm and connection through breathwork, nutrition and simple everyday practices.

Why the breath?

Your breath is one of the simplest ways to connect with your nervous system. When life feels busy or stressful, we can find ourselves spending a lot of time in “doing mode”, thinking, planning, rushing, responding and looking after everyone else. Over time, it can become difficult to truly switch off. Breathwork gives us a moment to step out of that cycle.

Through conscious breathing, we can create a pause between what is happening around us and how we respond. With regular practice, this can help us become more aware of our stress responses and develop tools to support ourselves when life feels challenging. We can not completely remove stress from our lives, however we can build more capacity to move through it.

What is breathwork?

Breathwork is the intentional use of breathing patterns to influence how we feel physically, mentally and emotionally.

We breathe all day without thinking about it, but our breathing can change depending on what’s happening around us. When we're stressed, busy or overwhelmed, our breath can become faster, shallower or more restricted. When we feel safe and relaxed, our breathing tends to soften and slow.

By becoming more aware of the breath and practising different techniques, we can begin to influence our state of being. Some practices are calming and grounding, helping us settle and create a sense of safety and rest. Others can be more energising or activating, helping us shift stagnant energy, release tension and feel more awake and present. There isn't one “right” way to breathe or one breathwork practice that suits everyone.

It's about learning to listen to your body and discovering what supports you.

Online Breathwork Circles

A space to pause, breathe & reconnect.

I’ll soon be opening my first online Breathwork Circles. These will be gentle, supportive spaces where you can step away from the noise of everyday life and spend some time turning your attention inwards. Each circle will include guided breathwork, grounding practices and space to slow down, reflect and simply be. You don't need any previous experience with breathwork, and you don't need to know what you're doing. I'll guide you through each practice, giving you space to explore your breath at your own pace.

Come as you are. Leave with a little more space to breathe.

Who I help

My work is especially for busy women and mums who are used to holding a lot. You might be juggling work, children, family, relationships and all the invisible things that sit in between. You may feel tired but wired, overwhelmed, constantly “on”, or like you've forgotten what it feels like to have a moment to yourself. Or perhaps nothing is particularly wrong, you just want to feel more connected, more grounded and more at home in yourself. You don't have to wait until you're burnt out to start supporting your nervous system.

Breathwork can be a practice of care, not just a response to stress.

How I found breathwork

My journey with breathwork began through my own search for a little more space, calm and presence in everyday life. Like so many of us, I found myself caught up in the constant doing, thinking about what had happened, planning what needed to happen next, and rarely stopping long enough to notice where I actually was in the moment.

I knew I wanted to slow down, but I also knew that simply telling myself to “slow down” wasn’t always enough. I needed something that could bring me back into my body and back to the here and now.

That’s where I found breathwork.

What I love most about it is its simplicity. There’s nothing extra you need to buy, achieve or add to your life. Your breath is already there, quietly with you through every moment. Through practising breathwork, I began to notice how powerful that simple connection could be. A few conscious breaths could create a pause in a busy day. A chance to step away from the noise in my head, soften into my body and become more present with what was actually happening, rather than always rushing towards the next thing.

Over time, breathwork became much more than a practice for me. It became a way of coming home to myself. It taught me that being present doesn’t mean having everything figured out or feeling calm all the time. It can simply mean noticing where you are, how you feel and what you need, without having to change or fix anything. The more I experienced this for myself, the more curious I became about the breath and the ways it can support our nervous system, our wellbeing and our ability to move through everyday life with a little more ease. And the more I learnt whilst studying to become a Breathwork Coach, the more I couldn’t wait to share it.

I believe we can so easily lose ourselves in the busyness of life, looking after everyone else, working, planning, rushing and trying to keep all the plates spinning. Breathwork offers a beautiful opportunity to pause all of that, even just for a few moments, and come back to what is happening right here, right now. There is no perfect way to breathe and no need to arrive feeling a certain way. My circles are a space to explore, to listen and to connect with yourself, wherever you are.

Come as you are. Take a breath. Be here, now.

Because sometimes we don't need to do more. Sometimes we simply need to stop, breathe and remember that we are already here.
